Parish Announcements

That Man Is You! is an interactive men's program combining the best research from science with the teachings of the Catholic faith and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive. By honestly addressing the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, That Man Is You! seeks to form men who will be capable of transforming homes and society. We will meet in the St. Philomena Parish Hall on Wednesdays for a light breakfast, a DVD presentation and small group discussions. The weekly meetings begin at 6:00am and conclude at 7:30am sharp. This will allow those who work to be able to leave promptly and head to work. Register Here

Pastoral Plan for the Diocese of Peoria
Thank you to all our parishioners who completed surveys and provided feedback regarding the second draft models as part of our Growing Disciples initiative. Gathering information from you is a critical element in the ability to move forward in this important pastoral planning process. Since the Parish Meetings in October, CLI has diligently compiled the thousands of electronic and paper surveys, along with the letters offering feedback regarding the second round of draft models. The Core Team has reviewed the data and met to propose the final draft models. In the coming month the Diocesan Pastoral Planning Commission will review their work. It will then be submitted to the Presbyteral Council to make recommendations for the Bishop to consider in the final decisions. Bishop Tylka is most grateful for all the work that has brought us to this point and asks for your continued prayers during this time of discernment. The Diocese of Peoria is constantly updating the website ( with additional information about the Growing Disciples initiative, so check back frequently. Let us remain a people of prayer: praying for each other and supporting one another as we go through this process.

Monticello Peace Meals is in need of Volunteer Drivers! This means delivering meals to our Monticello Senior Citizens that are in need of help feeding themselves for multiple reasons. Money is not always the reason.
Every 9 weeks is the schedule. Peace Meals is in need of three drivers on that ninth week. Those days each time are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Delivery time is 11:30am to 12:30pm. Some of the regular volunteers are done in under 30 minutes.
Monticello Peace Meals is located at 224 East Livingston—West side of Nicks Park. The double glass doors facing Nicks Park is where you would enter.
They are very grateful for all our support.
St. Philomena/St. Michael has committed to providing volunteers in March, May, July and September. If you are interested in being a Volunteer Driver for Monticello Peace Meals, please contact Becky in the Parish Office to sign up for our next delivery dates: March 18th, 19th and 21st.

Although it is Lent, we will take a break from our Lenten resolutions to celebrate the Solemnity of St. Joseph. We would like to celebrate in a special way by having a St. Joseph’s Table. This is a tradition where parishioners come to honor and express their love for St. Joseph, the guardian of the Redeemer by having a meal together. This year we will provide food from our friends at Filippos Italian Restaurant. It will take place immediately following the 10:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday March 17th in the parish hall. We will give a nod to St. Patrick as well given the 17th is normally his Feast Day. A free will offering will be taken. Please come and celebrate in Lent this special occasion! In order to better estimate our attendance and ensure we have enough food for all, please sign up if you plan on coming. There are sign up sheets at both entrances of the church and you can also sign up HERE.
